Please insert the software CD before first starting the B4.

For optimal performance please make sure that you always use the latest version of the B4. You can download updates from the Native Instruments homepage in the "Products" section.

In the B4 stand-alone you can optimize the Play Ahead setting for your soundcard in System/Audio Settings. This will reduce the latency - the delay between pressing a key and hearing the sound.

If you hear harsh digital distortion (clipping) when playing many notes, you must reduce the Volume setting in the Control View to prevent overloading the soundcard.
